Thomas Alba Jefferson

At school today one of the kids asked me if I had any U.S. coins. I happened to have all of mine in my backpack. They were looking through them when one of the guys walks up to me with a nickel and asks what significance Monticello has. So I told him, "Its... uh... gosh I know this... Oh! Its the house of Thomas Jefferson. The 5th or something president of the US." "Oh. I never heard of him." One of the other Chileans jumps in and says, "What?!? You have never heard of Thomas ALBA Jefferson?" Someone corrects him saying, "No, you numb nut, Thomas Alba EDISON invented the telephone and never was a president." Yet another historically brilliant individual interrupts by saying, "I thought Edison invented electricity." I couldn't resist making my own contribution so I said, "Actually, Ben Franklin invented electricity with his magic powers. Bell invented the telephone." They totally accepted it. Until one person said, "Wait... what did Edison do?" I responded with, "He invented light."
